    Literacy: Legends
Get people from the community to come in and share legends ( or else the teacher ), create a slideshow on kidpix depiciting the story, have children do the voice -over, retelling the legend. For younger children, you can get them to do just one picture each, and collate as a class. Thiscan be useful for all areasof the school. You can play around with art rage as well.
instead of always publishing in a written format or typed why not orally publish on a podcast - especially wonderful for reluctant writers
    =Interactive books
The children in my class made books our of their stories and we are now in the process of publishing them as an interactive book. They have drawn pictures and inserted them into powerpoint. They have added foward and back arrows, sounds and made their pictures move. They have then recorded themselves reading the story. The purpose was to share it with the juniors so if they couldn't read the words yet they could click on it and it would be read to them. They are very cool and made them very motivated to write. A wonderful way of children either presenting or practising their speeches could be doing a podcast.
